Anti-abuse policy

smsevent is for sending kind messages. Any use intended to cause harm is forbidden and actively fought.

Last updated: October 12, 2026

1. Forbidden uses

  • Threats, intimidation, harassment or repeated messages to someone who does not want them;
  • scams, phishing, extortion, fake messages from organisations or companies;
  • sexual, hateful, discriminatory or defamatory content;
  • impersonating another person;
  • links, phone numbers or email addresses in the message;
  • sending to premium-rate numbers or any attempt at SMS traffic fraud.

2. Our measures

  • Automatic content filtering and a list of forbidden terms;
  • sending limits per connection, per device and per recipient;
  • a blocklist of numbers, IP addresses and devices;
  • recording, for 12 months, of the sender’s IP address, technical information about their device, the recipient’s number and the message text.

3. Recipients: STOP and reporting

Every text contains a STOP link. By entering their number at smsevent.online/stop, recipients will never again receive a text sent through our service.

Any recipient can report an abusive message. The report immediately blocks the sender’s IP address and device while it is reviewed.

4. Sanctions and cooperation

Any breach leads to the sender being permanently blocked, without refund. We cooperate with the authorities and hand over, upon legal request, the data we hold.
